Do What Makes You Happy

Do What Makes You Happy

Sounds easy right?

Well it’s not for everyone, some of us never find out just exactly what makes us happy and others find out when it’s too late to put into action. Luckily for me I found out before it was too late, albeit late in life but not too late.

I had been struggling for months to figure out what I wanted when I stumbled across this simple but all encompassing saying

Do What Makes You Happy

I don’t remember exactly where I saw it but it resonated with me to my core. I just kept repeating it over and over and now it’s my mantra.

I tell everyone this now.

I don’t know what to do with my life!

Do what makes you happy.

It’s so simple when you think about it. Right?

At the time I saw this I was struggling in my life. I’m married to someone I don’t want to be married to and I was giving up the one thing that made me happy.

Blogging and online marketing

Well never again will I do that.

No matter what I will hold on to it. Nothing will ever cause me to give up my happiness again. It took me too many years to figure out what exactly made me happy.

So take my advice. If it makes you happy grab it and never let go.

Thank you.

  1. I love it! Do what Makes You Happy. I am working on this goal (slowly, but getting there) and I have to say it is making me happy ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad you got there, even if it was late too. Wishing you continued success.

  2. After losing my husband of 59 years eighteen months ago, I’ve been slowly weeding out those obligations and commitments that were just a fixture on my have-to-do list. I’m doing more of what makes me happy. It’s slow-going but getting easier all the time.
